Annie Granucci

Finance Manager

  • Staff

I am from Sacramento but lived in the Bay Area for eight years to attend college and then start my career.  I received a Bachelors of Science,  Economics and Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting.  Shortly after graduating I received my Certified Public Accountant license.

I started my career by working for Blanding, Boyer and Rockwell which is a large local accounting firm in Walnut Creek.  Here I worked on tax return preparation for individuals, corporations, partnerships, trusts and non-profit organizations.  I provided IRS audit representation for clients.  I specialized in auditing major corporations and nonprofit organizations.  After 4 years working for this firm, I returned home to Sacramento where I worked for Rossmann,  McDonald and Benetti, another local accounting firm.  My responsibilities were the same as the prior firm I worked for.

After working in Public Acounting I transitioned to governmental accounting with the County of Sacramento for 25 years.  Most of my time was spent as the Chief of Accounting with the Probation Department.  This was a challenging and fun position because things were always changing and we developed many effective programs that serviced people who wanted to become law abiding and productive citizens.  In this position I managed the Grants, Accounts Payable, Contracts, General Accounting and Budget units.

Throughout my career thus far I have worked extensively with nonprofit organizations.  This work included performing financial, compliance and internal control audits; negotiating and preparing contracts; consulting on general accounting practices and internal control processes; and assisting organizations in preparing for their annual financial statement audit.  Most importantly,  I personally served on the United Cerebral Palsy of Greater Sacramento as the Treasurer of the Board of Directors for both the operation and foundation organizations for over 10 years. This non-profit experience led me to leave the County of Sacramento to work for a non-profit – something I have wanted to do for a long time.

I am an active person that loves the outdoors.  My favorite hobbies are tennis, hiking, snowshoeing, cycling, horseback riding, gardening and spending time with my large family.
