Grant Specialist(s)
The California Fire Safe Council (CFSC) is seeking applications for Grant Specialists at the junior-level (Associate Grant Specialist), intermediate level (Staff Grant Specialist), and advanced level (Senior Grant Specialist). As a part of the Grants Clearinghouse, Grant Specialists are responsible for the administration and development of a grant through its full life cycle from pre-award through post-award phase. This includes preparing, maintaining, administering, and reporting of grants; evaluating grant applications to determine the appropriateness of the project and/or compliance with requirements and standards; monitoring grant awards for progress and compliance; providing technical assistance and guidance to grant subrecipients; and assisting with securing and managing master funds.
Finance Manager
The Finance Manager oversees the fiscal management functions for the CFSC. Under executive supervision, the Finance Manager supervises and facilitates the accounting and financial management of the organization, including project and grant business activities between grant managers, program staff, and accounting. The Finance Manager ensures all financial processes and procedures are in accordance with GAAP and federal grant regulations.
Senior Grant Finance Specialist
The Senior Grant Finance Specialist (SGFS) manages the fiscal component of CFCS’s grants and subgrants. Under the supervision of the Finance Manager, the SGFS facilitates project and grant business activities between grant managers and accounting staff. The SGFS works closely with the Grants Clearinghouse to develop and monitor grant budgets, prepare analyses of budgets, and ensures completion of all billable time records, invoices, and accounting for the project and grant activities. The SGFS operates financial planning tools/reports, assists in the annual single audit process, and assists the Finance Manager with various financial reports required by funders and requested by the Board of Directors.

Registered Professional Forester/Environmental Consultant
California Fire Safe Council seeks a qualified Registered Professional Forester (RPF)/Environmental Consultant to provide professional and technical services related to the planning, development, and implementation of ground-breaking wildfire mitigation projects as funded by the California Fire Safe Council to ensure environmental and regulatory compliance. CFSC is seeking Professional Forestry Services for a minimum of 2 years, with the opportunity to extend the timeline with a written and signed agreement from both parties.
