Regional Coordinator

The Regional Coordinator reports directly to and work closely with the Executive Director, and under the general direction of a Capacity Building Programs Manager, to develop, implement, and sustain an effective statewide network of fire resilience leaders. This peer-learning network will support and advance planning, organizational capacity building, and partnerships to implement high-impact projects and initiatives to enhance resilience in priority watersheds across the state of California.

Staff Grant Specialist

The Staff Grant Specialist reports to the Programs Manager.  They provide technical assistance and program guidance to educate, encourage, and develop countywide community collaboration and coordination among various wildfire mitigation groups operating within each county containing SRA lands; they ensure compliance with grant requirements, policies, and procedures; monitor grantee progress on accomplishing the scope of work described in the grant application; and ensure grant funds are spent in accordance with grant regulations.

The Associate Grant Specialist reports to the Clearinghouse Manager.   They provide technical assistance and program guidance to a diverse array of grant recipients; they ensure compliance with grant requirements, policies, and procedures; monitor grantee progress on accomplishing the scope of work described in the grant application; and ensure grant funds are spent in accordance with grant regulations.

Communications Assistant

The Communications and Outreach Assistant will, on a statewide basis, provide support to the Communications and Outreach department in the promotion of community wildfire preparedness to people living in our wildland-urban interface areas. The Communications and Outreach Assistant will work closely under the supervision of the Communications Coordinator, reporting to the Programs and Outreach Manager. The establishment of this position underscores the California Fire Safe Council’s (CFSC) commitment to the advancement of a strong network of local, regional, state, and national organizations to help the residents of California acquire education, resources, and the tools needed to be better prepared for wildfire.

Accounting Specialist

The Accounting Specialist provides the fiscal processing support functions for the CFSC.   Under general supervision, the Accounting Specialist works within the finance team to facilitate cost tracking, payroll coordination, invoice, expense statements, grant cost reporting, and general purchasing. Assists with the analysis of project budgets and funding requirements for new projects.  Manages all billable time records, invoices, and accounting for the project and grant activities.
