SBCFSC Wildfire Evacuation and Survival Workshop

May 18

May 18th, 2024, 10:00 am-1:00pm – Santa Barbara City College, Business Communication Forum

RSVP required, click HERE

The SBCFSC is putting on a Wildfire Evacuation and Survival Workshop at Santa Barbara City College on May 18th, 2024. This free event seeks to empower our community with the knowledge to make critical decisions in real life wildfire evacuations. During the workshop you will listen to experts speak on the different facets of evacuation and you will have access to several different resources. Our community has long asked for more in depth information regarding wildfire evacuation and we aim to provide just that.

At the end of the workshop there will be an evacuation supply giveaway. To earn raffle tickets take a picture of your current go bag or bring it to the event so we can see what you have in stock. There will also be an electronic scanner and USB flash drives on-site so you can digitize your important documents and take them home. Wildfire comes faster than you think and it’s much easier to grab a packed go bag and flash drive rather than assembling everything last minute.

The workshop is sponsored by the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation, UCSB’s Wildfire Prevention and Policy Lecture Series, and Noozhawk.

Please keep in mind this is a workshop rather than the family focused events we have hosted in the past.
