Jasmine joins us from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) with experience in federal and state-level grants and program management, particularly within hazard mitigation. During her time with FEMA, she managed over $100 million in Hazard Mitigation Grant Program (HMGP) and Post-Fire funding. Jasmine also served as the FEMA Region IX representative for the national HMGP Post-Fire working group.
Prior to her time with FEMA, she worked as a Grant Specialist with the California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services (Cal OES), where she administered the Hazard Mitigation Grant Program at the state level. Before OES, Jasmine worked as a lead recruiter to staff various state and federal contracts.
Beyond her professional qualifications, she has a personal connection to wildfire resilience as her Family’s property in El Dorado County was directly impacted by both the Caldor and Mosquito Fires. While only vegetation burned and structures remained, these experiences have deepened her commitment to supporting communities in reducing future wildfire risk. She is enthusiastic about the opportunity to contribute to CFSC’s efforts in wildfire prevention and community resilience.
Jasmine studied health science in college and enjoys spending her leisure time gardening with her husband, hanging out with her two dogs, and raising a small flock of chickens.”
