Development Manager

The California Fire Safe Council is seeking a Development Manager to support the growth of the organization’s unrestricted fundraising efforts and advance wildfire resilience across California. Working alongside the Chief Development Officer, the Development Manager will help expand several recently launched revenue initiatives, including the Fire Safe Business Directory, Corporate Partner Program, and an individual donor program, while also managing development administration and the organization’s CRM system. This full-time, permanent position is eligible for telework within California, with occasional travel for meetings, events, and limited in-office presence in Sacramento. Communications Contractor

Proposals due March 23, 2026

The California Fire Safe Council is seeking proposals from a qualified Communications Contractor to serve as the acting communications lead during the Chief Communications Officer’s parental leave and ensure continuity of organizational communications. The contractor will coordinate communications activities across departments, manage the communications production schedule, and oversee key deliverables, while providing day-to-day coordination and direction for the Communications & Outreach Specialist. The role will support a range of communications, outreach, media, and fundraising efforts—including project management, email campaigns, social media, website updates, webinar support, development communications, and earned media—to maintain momentum across CFSC’s external communications and engagement initiatives. The engagement is expected to begin April 6, 2026, with onboarding support from the CCO through April 17, and is anticipated to run through approximately June 2026, with the potential for month-to-month extension depending on organizational needs and funding. Home Hardening Educational Materials Contractor

Proposals due April 3, 2026

The California Fire Safe Council is accepting proposals from qualified contractors or creative agencies to design and produce a suite of visual and interactive educational materials that support community wildfire resilience and public understanding of home hardening. Proposals are due by April 3, 2026. CFSC is seeking a contractor to complete this grant-funded project between April and August 2026, with a total budget of $30,000 and the potential for extension depending on funding and project timelines. The selected contractor will develop several educational products, including an interactive before-and-after home hardening visualization, a home hardening infographic with social media assets, and a series of short animated explainer videos illustrating key wildfire preparedness and mitigation concepts. All materials must be visually engaging, scientifically accurate, accessible, and suitable for use across digital platforms, print, workshops, and social media.
