Immediate Opening for Executive Director
California Fire Safe Council
Through an innovative and efficient grants administration process, the California Fire Safe Council, a 501 (c) 3 corporation, strives to motivate various stakeholders to work in unison to reduce the threat of catastrophic wildfires that have been the bane of California throughout its history.
We seek an Executive Director to lead this challenge. The individual chosen should be a coalition-building visionary with empathy towards homeowners, environmentalists, fire professionals, utilities, governmental agencies, and impacted industries.
Candidates with a proven record in development, financial planning/budgeting, staff management and community engagement are encouraged to apply. Applicants familiar with federal grant procurement and reporting procedures are especially welcome. A bachelor’s degree in business, public administration or a related field is highly preferred; a graduate degree would be a plus.
Individuals who are attracted to this challenging opportunity will ultimately enjoy the benefit of knowing their successful efforts that implement CFSC’s programs have prevented devastating wildfires, saved whole communities and countless families’ homes, and preserved vulnerable watersheds along with their surrounding forests.
The California Fire Safe Council is an equal opportunity employer. For more detailed information about the CFSC please see our website at www.cafiresafecouncil.org.
