DESCRIPTION:Rx FIRE 101 WORKSHOP: Colfax April 1 \nPlacer Prescribed Burn Association (Placer PBA) was founded by the Placer Resource Conservation District. Placer PBA is dedicated to equipping landowners with the knowledge\, skills\, and confidence to implement low-complexity prescribed burns. This workshop is free of charge and will cover topics including permitting\, liability\, fire effects on native plants\, heat management\, landowner resources\, and others. A panel of experienced instructors teach the course. This is a classroom workshop and no live fire will be used\, however\, training burns will be offered throughout the season so that landowners gain on-the-ground experience. \nDate: Saturday\, April 1 \nTime: 0800 – 1630 \nLocation: Colfax Elementary School\, 24825 Ben Taylor Rd.\, Colfax \nCost: FREE \nDescription: The Placer PBA Rx Fire 101 workshop series are tailored to private landowners hoping to implement prescribed burns on their property.
