CFSC bids a fond farewell to Dan Lang

Dan Lang has left the building.

As of March 31, 2015, Dan Lang will be hanging up his Fire Safe tool belt to pursue traveling, waterwise landscaping and playing with his grandchildren full-time. Dan’s retirement comes after nearly 7 years as Grant Manager with California Fire Safe Council.

Dan joined California Fire Safe Council in June 2008, having recently retired from an impressive 39 year career with Cal Fire. During his tenure at Cal Fire, Dan worked his way from a seasonal firefighter to Chief of Fire Protection Operations. His exceptional technical and programmatic expertise in fire prevention infused with his wonderful charm and strong work ethic made Dan an invaluable team member at CFSC.

We will not only miss Dan’s Fire Safe expertise but his ever-present good cheer. Join us in congratulating Dan on his richly deserved retirement. We wish him the best for his future and all the wonderful things it may bring.

In Dan’s honor, there will be a no host gathering during Happy Hour at the Lion’s Gate O Club in McClellan on Monday April 13, 2015 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. All are welcome.
